Abstract

Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is a set of eye and vision symptoms caused by prolonged use of digital devices. The high intensity of computer use as the primary tool for work activities at PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk increases the risk of Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS), which can impact their quality of life and work productivity. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) among workers at the Head Office of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk in 2026. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted involving 90 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire on individual characteristics, the CVS-Q, a lux meter, and a metline. Data analysis was performed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate methods. The results of the multivariate analysis showed that refractive errors (POR=6.197; 95% CI: 1.866–20.579), duration of use of other devices (POR=4.240; 95% CI: 1.398–12.865), and screen brightness (POR = 5.887; 95% CI: 1.763–19.660) were significantly associated with Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). Refractive error was the most dominant associated factor. These findings highlight the importance of eye examinations and providing optimal refractive corrections to minimize the risk of Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS).
