Abstract
This research is motivated by the phenomenon of increasing use of social media, especially among Generation Z (Gen Z) as a means of providing information to its users. This phenomenon can be studied in its use by current Generation Z college students who use the @collegemenfess account on the X social media platform as a medium to fulfill their lecture-related information needs. The aim of this research is to find out how much influence the use of the social media account X @collegemenfess has on fulfilling students' information needs. The theory used in this research is the Uses & Gratification 2.0. This research uses explanatory quantitative methods and non-probability sampling techniques with purposive sampling techniques. Researchers distributed questionnaires in Google Form to 102 respondents. The results of the correlation test test in this study show that there is a strong and positive relationship between the use of the social media account X @collegemenfess. The conclusion of this research is that there is a relationship between the use of social media account X @collegemenfess and fulfilling college students' information needs.
