Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of educational background, learning facilities, and the moderating role of internal locus of control on the level of understanding of Bachelor of Accounting students at UPN Veteran Jakarta. The population of this study were undergraduate accounting students at UPN Veteran Jakarta who had taken introductory accounting courses. This research used primary data with a questionnaire and obtained 116 respondents.. This type of research is quantitative research. Hypothesis testing in this research uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the SmartPLS 4.0 application. The results obtained from this test are that educational background has a positive and significant effect on students' level of understanding, learning facilities have a positive and not significant effect on students' level of understanding, internal locus of control cannot moderate the influence of educational background on students' level of understanding, and internal locus of control cannot moderate the influence of learning facilities on students' level of understanding.
