Abstract

Employees are the most crucial assets influencing a company's success through their performance. Information on employee performance serves various purposes, including recognition, incentives, salary increases, and identifying potential deviations. PT. GlobalNine Indonesia, a company focusing on DC power systems, grounding system solutions, telecommunication equipment distribution, and solar energy products, faces challenges in selecting the best employee due to a manual performance evaluation process using Microsoft Excel and email. This process is time-consuming, less effective, and inefficient. This study aims to develop a Web-Based Decision Support System (DSS) using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to assist PT. GlobalNine Indonesia's HR department in selecting the best employee. The system is designed using Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, enabling rapid and efficient system development. Research objectives include identifying criteria for selecting the best employee, designing a web-based DSS, and applying the SAW method in the selection process. Evaluation criteria include Job Quality, Job Knowledge, Work Behavior & Discipline, Interpersonal Skills, Leadership Skills, and Potential Assessment. The research resulted in the successful development of a decision support system using the SAW method to select the best employee, addressing issues with manual systems and improving decision-making efficiency.
