Abstract

Ara Cake is a home industry operating in the food sector with a primary focus on cake sales. This home industry is a small and medium-scale enterprise managed by an individual. To support their marketing activities, Ara Cake relies on digital platforms, particularly Instagram and WhatsApp, to increase customer awareness and encourage product purchases. The buying and selling process also relies on these two social media platforms. For ordering, customers place their orders manually through Instagram direct messages and WhatsApp private messages. Meanwhile, the business owner records these orders manually into personal phone notes. This manual process opens the possibility of technical errors in order data logging. Therefore, implementing a website-based information system using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method is considered an appropriate solution the existing issues faced by both customers and the business owner, providing a more effective and efficient ordering service.
