Abstract
PT Bank Jago Tbk transformed from a conventional bank into a digital-based bank following the entry of strategic investors in 2019 and a business model shift in 2020. Prior to the transformation, the bank consistently recorded operational losses with negative ROA and ROE and BOPO exceeding 100%. This study aims to identify financial performance developments before the digital transformation, determine profitability levels based on ROA, ROE, and NIM ratios, and assess operational efficiency using the BOPO ratio. Analysis was conducted on annual financial statements for the periods 2016–2020 and 2021–2025 using a quantitative approach with the Paired Sample T-Test for ROA and BOPO, and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test for ROE and NIM. The results show improvement across ROA, ROE, NIM, and BOPO ratios following the digital transformation. Statistically, ROE and NIM indicate significant differences, while ROA and BOPO show no significant difference. The digital transformation successfully reversed losses into positive profitability, although operational efficiency still requires further improvement.
