Abstract
Hypertension in Pregnancy (HDK) is a condition in which blood pressure increases during pregnancy. In Indonesia, there were 1,077 detected cases, with the highest number of 212 cases coming from West Java. In Bekasi City, nearly 20% of maternal deaths in 2020 were caused by HDK. Several factors that cause this condition include being overweight, a family history of hypertension, and smoking. To treat HDK, there are several non-medicinal methods that have been proven successful, such as soaking the feet in warm water and listening to classical music. These methods can help improve blood flow, reduce swelling, and relax the muscles. This study aims to examine the application of evidence-based care by combining soaking feet in warm water and classical music in pregnant women with HDK. The intervention was performed once per session, each lasting 15 minutes. The blood pressure threshold for HDK is ≥ 140/90 mmHg, while those without HDK have & ˂140/90 mmHg. The study results showed that patients' blood pressure decreased from an initial reading of 149/99 mmHg (HDK) to 133/83 mmHg (non-HDK). These findings suggest that this combination approach could serve as an effective alternative solution for managing HDK.
