Abstract
Background: The growing prevalence of smartphone usage among adolescents, smartphone addiction has emerged as a phenomenon closely related to uncontrolled smartphone use. Smartphone addiction accompanied by a constantly bowed head position in adolescents with smartphone addiction increases biomechanical stress on the neck muscles, thereby triggering neck pain. Objective: To analyze the relationship between smartphone addiction and neck pain among students at Muhammadiyah 4 High School in Depok. Methods: This cross-sectional study used purposive sampling on 80 respondents conducted on November 20-27, 2025, using Google Forms with the SAS-SV questionnaire to measure smartphone addiction and the NPDI to measure neck pain. Results: Based on the statistical results through the Fisher's Exact test, the p result was 0.373, which is greater than p>0,05. Conclusion: The findings suggest that there is no significant relationship between smartphone addiction and neck pain among the students of Muhammadiyah 4 High School in Depok..
