Abstract
The food and beverage industry plays a strategic role in the Indonesian economy, but dividend policies of companies in this sector tend to vary due to various factors, such as sales growth, company size, and profitability. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of sales growth, company size, and profitability on the dividend policy of food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the period 2019-2023. The sample of this study consisted of 15 food and beverage companies listed on the IDX for the period 2019-2023, which were determined through a purposive sampling method. Data analysis was carried out using the panel data regression method to test the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variables. The findings of this study reveal that sales growth has a negative impact on dividend policy, indicating that companies tend to retain profits for expansion. Company size does not show an impact on dividend policy, indicating that large companies do not necessarily distribute higher dividends. Meanwhile, profitability also does not show an impact on dividend policy, indicating that high profitability does not mean high dividends.
