Abstract

Pain and anxiety are common conditions experienced by fracture trauma patients in the Emergency Department (ED). Various therapies have been implemented to manage pain and anxiety, including non-pharmacological approaches such as the use of weighted blankets. This case study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of weighted blankets in reducing pain and anxiety levels in fracture trauma patients. The study involved two respondents who suffered fracture trauma and were treated in the ED at Bhayangkara TK. I Pusdokkes Polri hospital. The results of the case study indicate a reduction in pain and anxiety levels after the intervention with weighted blankets. The conclusion of the case study suggests that weighted blankets have the potential to be an evidence-based nursing intervention that effectively manages pain and anxiety in fracture trauma patients in the Emergency Department.
