Abstract
Consumer protection is seen increasingly important, given the increasingly rapid and the speed of science and technology is the driving force for productivity and efficiency of producers of goods and / or services they produce in order to achieve business objectives. The method used in this research is normative juridical done by examining the library materials or secondary materials obtained from library materials. Based on this research, legal protection for consumers against lubricant Meditran SX SAE 15W-40 that its content does not match as it is written in the caption is comprised of preventive and repressive and consumers may apply to the Consumer Dispute Settlement Board which is one of their rights as consumers. Responsibilities of businesses that sell lubricating Meditran SX SAE 15W-40 that its content does not match as it is written in his statement to account for damage to 15 units of vehicles belonging to Claimants as a result of the use of oil from businesses as well as the judges decided to indemnify Rp200,000,000 , - (two hundred million rupiah) to the Consumer.
