Abstract
Medical students are future doctors who are lifelong learners. This continuous learning process is already experienced by final year students. This process requires learning motivation that not only encourages the beginning of learning but also enhances the growth of lifelong learning. However, final year medical students are known to have high levels of stress. Social support can protect against the harmful effects of stress. This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and stress levels with learning motivation in final year students of the Faculty of Medicine UPN “Veteran” Jakarta in 2024. This research method is analytic observational with cross sectional research design. The instruments used in this study were Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), Depression Anxiety Stress Scales 21 (DASS-21), and Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ). The study used primary data with chi-square test data analysis. The results showed that the majority of students 73.4% had high social support, 74.5% had normal stress levels, 71.3% had high learning motivation. There is a relationship between social support and student learning motivation with a p-value of 0.000 and there is no relationship between stress levels and learning motivation with a p-value of 0.401.
