Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is a disorder during menstruation that is commonly experienced by young women. Dysmenorrhea usually consists of pain with cramping that is centered in the lower abdomen. Dysmenorrhoea can be treated pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. One of the non-pharmacological treatments for dysmenorrhoea is pelvic rocking. The aim of this research is to determine whether there is an effect of providing Pelvic Rocking on reducing the intensity of dysmenorrhea in young women in Situ Gede Village, Bogor. This research uses a Quasi Experimental Studies design in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method. The research sample was 27 subjects who received treatment in the form of Pelvic Rocking. The instrument used is WaLLiD. Statistical results show that the pre-test and post-test scores obtained significant results with p=0.001 (p<0.05), meaning there is an influence on reducing the intensity of dysmenorrhoea.
