Abstract
The amil zakat institution has a role in empowering mustahik businesses through productive zakat. However, the reality is that there are LAZs that have not been able to have a positive impact on increasing mustahik businesses. There are also mustahik who have not been able to take advantage of productive zakat assistance which should be able to increase mustahik business income to the contrary. Less than optimal in LAZ management to be able to guide and supervise the program so that productive zakat practices fail. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the utilization of productive zakat by LAZ Gema Indonesia Sejahtera in empowering mustahik businesses by reviewing the performance of the productive zakat program and reviewing the behavior of mustahik in managing productive zakat funds and knowing how big the impact of productive zakat distribution is on mustahik welfare. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach which contains written descriptions where the data is obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses inductive techniques, namely data collection from empirical facts or events. Then the results of the data findings were analyzed to find conclusions. Data analysis without using numbers but manifested in the form of reports and descriptive descriptions regarding the effectiveness of productive zakat utilization at LAZ Gema Indonesia Sejahtera. The results of this research show that the effectiveness of LAZ Gema Indonesia Sejahtera in terms of program objectives and accuracy of targets has been effective. Then the socialization and monitoring of the program has not been effective.
