Abstract

Background: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a condition of impaired glucose tolerance that occurs during pregnancy, and glucose tolerance homeostasis is usually restored after birth. Pregnant women with GDM, usually in the second or third trimester, may experience a variety of perinatal complications. Gestational diabetes mellitus includes pharmacological-specific treatment in the form of appropriate oral/insulin doses according to the criteria for each patient. Objective: This study aims to provide an overview of nursing care for Mrs.T with Gestational Diabetes in the third trimester of pregnancy in the Kp.Pulo Kambing East Jakrta Area. Method: This study uses a simple descriptive case study method in implementing nursing care to Mrs.T with Gestational Diabetes in the third trimester of pregnancy. Mrs.T's data collection was done by interview, observation, and physical examination. Results: Mrs.T.'s willingness and openness are supporting factors in the evaluation stage so that they can achieve the expected result criteria, which are seen from the problem of sleep pattern disorders to achieve goals and outcome criteria then begin to understand gestational diabetes, begin to apply a good and correct diet, and the intervention is continued independently by Mrs.T. Conclusion: the conclusion of this scientific work isIntervention on the problem of instability of blood glucose levels recommends adherence to diet and exercise, planning on anxiety problems by paying full attention, then on the problem of sleep pattern disorders that provide music therapy, massage, to increase comfort.
