Abstract
This research aims to determine the content of household plastic waste management messages discussed on Instagram @Aliansizerowaste.id. Researchers observed how messages about managing household plastic waste were conveyed by the Instagram account @Aliansizerowaste.id. The method used is descriptive qualitative from observation and documentation as well as triangulation of sources by conducting validation interviews. Primary data sources are from Instagram account content and secondary data from literature in books, journals and online media. The research uses persuasion, persistence and representation analysis methods in accordance with agenda setting theory. The theory used in this research is agenda setting theory, namely how the media emphasizes an issue so that it is considered important by the public. The final results of this research show that the Instagram account @Aliansizerowaste.id communicates the message of plastic waste management through simple approaches such as content regarding the implementation of reuse protocols in music concerts, plastic-free parades, and the dangers of microplastics. Persistence in the account uses keywords such as "reuse", "plastic free march", and "microplastic" in educating the public using fear and motivational appeal types of persuasion. This account uploaded a post entitled, "“Ribuan Sampah Berhasil Dicegah di Festival Musik " to represent the Reuse Ecosystem topic, a post " Pawai Bebas Plastik " to represent Upstream Advocacy, and an upload entitled " Mikroplastik Telah Ditemukan Dalam Tubuh Manusia, Dimana Mereka Bersarang?" for the topic of the impact of plastic waste. Acceptance of message content from the audience and motivation arises for the audience to increase environmentally friendly behavior in accordance with what is intended by the Instagram account @Aliansizerowaste.id.
