Abstract

This thesis employs a data panel regression approach to investigate the determinants of original regional income from 2014 to 2022 in East Kalimantan, focusing on the variables of Motor Vehicle Tax, GRDP (Gross Regionai Domestlc Product), Regional Retribution, and Total Populatlon. Through a meticulous analysis, the study reveals that Regional Retribution and Total Population do not exhibit significant impacts on original regional income. In contrast, Motor Vehicle Tax and GRDP demonstrate positive and statistically significant effects. The findings highlight the crucial role of motor vehicle tax and regional domestic product in shaping the economic landscape of East Kalimantan. The application of data panel regression ensures a robust examination of the relationships over time and across different entities within the region. This research contributes valuable insights for policymakers, aiding in the formulation of targeted strategies to enhance original regional income by leveraging the positive influences of motor vehicle tax and gross regional domestic product.
