Abstract

Work fatigue can result from both formal and informal types of work. More than 60% of work accident cases that occur in the workplace are caused by work fatigue. Firefighters have a working time of 1x24 hours, the demands a risky task, and Sector II Kebayoran Baru District had the most fire cases in the South Jakarta area in 2022 with 74 cases. However, there is still a lack of fire stations in the sub-district, thus causing work fatigue. This research aims to analyze the factors associated with the work fatigue of firefighters in Sector II Kebayoran Baru District. This research was conducted in March–June 2023. The research method used was quantitative with a cross-sectional study design. The sampling technique used total sampling, with a total sample of 57 people. The data analysis was univariate, bivariate with the chi-square test, and multivariate with logistic regression prediction models. The results of the multivariate analysis showed that the variable most related to work fatigue was sleep duration (POR: 6,584; 95% CI: 1,527-28,383). It is hoped that firefighters can make the best of their rest time, reduce daily cigarette consumption, and stretch their muscles between work hours.
