Abstract
This research was conducted to analyze the relationship between individual factors and environmental factors on safety riding behavior among students at SMA Kartika VIII-1 in South Jakarta. The study employed a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional study design. The sample consisted of 71 students from SMA Kartika VIII-1 in South Jakarta. The research was conducted from April to June 2022. Data on individual and environmental variables were collected using a questionnaire. The analysis used in this study included chi-square test and Fisher’s exact test. The results of this research indicate a significant association between attitude (p-value=0.001) and safety riding behavior, while there was no significant association between knowledge (p-value=0.378), driving experience (p-value=0.935), parental role (p-value=0.999), school role (p-value=0.288), and weather conditions (p-value=0.999) with safety riding behavior. Supervision by the school is needed regarding the use of riding equipment by appointing supervisors in the parking area and issuing warnings to riders who violate the applicable regulations
