Abstract
The development of technology and information in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has been very rapid. Currently, every field of life has utilized Information Technology (IT), including the field of education, such as at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ). One example is the UPNVJ repository website which is used by students to find references and publish research results. However, based on interviews with users, several complaints were found, such as confusion when searching, logging in, and publishing. Users also feel that the appearance and layout of this website is less attractive and less user friendly. This is supported by the System Usability Scale (SUS) survey results which show a score below the average of 42.23. Therefore, the author decided to redesign using the design thinking method with the aim of overcoming the problems experienced by users and increasing the level of usability of the UPNVJ repository website. After redesigning, the researcher conducted a test again using the SUS method. The test results showed that there was an increase in the assessment to 80.85 with an increase of 91%. Thus, this redesign process has had a positive impact on users and is a solution to existing problems.
