Abstract
Background This study authors interest in the underlying over the Yamaha Jupiter-Z advertisement aired on television. Because the Yamaha Jupiter-Z is the only product that displays ads with famous racer endorse is Jorge Lorenzo and public figures Komeng is a comedian icon of Yamaha. The purpose of this research was to determine whether the endorser Komeng and Jorge Lorenzo is more effective. The benefits of this research are the author and the public can know the meaning of the signs and messages displayed. Theory framework of this research contains the basic theory and concept definition. The basic theory used by researchers, such as: communication, mass communication, advertising, advertising media, television advertising media, semiotics as a study in the advertisement. Methods This study used a qualitative descriptive approach of Ferdinand de Saussure semiotic analysis is split into two categories, that is: the signifier and the signified which then produces signification or meaning. Research on advertising Yamaha Jupiter-Z is a Yamaha ads gives an interesting touch because endorser Jorge Lorenzo in Yamaha Jupiter-Z ads and Komeng comedian who has become an icon of the Yamaha. Conclusion Yamaha Jupiter-Z version Komeng and Jorge Lorenzo to provide motivation, confidence and a positive attitude to the public due to the Yamaha Jupiter-Z version Komeng and Jorge Lorenzo can bring its own attraction as a driver's endorser in the product. Means for advertising the Yamaha Jupiter-Z version Komeng and Jorge Lorenzo referable to increase sales of the product endorser because the attractiveness of the community to continue to see the ads.
