Abstract

The TikTok social media platform, which was initially considered a threat to the nation's morality, has now evolved into a social media channel with significant influence on the societal life. The ease of gaining visibility on the "For You Page" (FYP) or going viral on TikTok extends to the social and political aspects of society. In the political context, TikTok is widely utilized to disseminate political information, social movements, mass mobilization, and even political education. This research aims to understand the impact of TikTok on the level of political participation among Z generation students at UPN "Veteran" Jakarta residing in Jakarta, and to assess the significance of this influence. The study employs a quantitative method involving 100 respondents, who are UPN "Veteran" Jakarta students residing in Jakarta, selected through purposive sampling from a total population of 5701 students.
