Abstract

The wound is a condition where there is a damage due to interruption of the continuity of the tissues. High incidence of wounds led to the need to found the management of injuries effectively and efficiently. Currently, some research shows that extracts of Chromolaena odorata or Kirinyuh potentially play a role in wound healing. This Systematic Review aims to present a publication about the effectiveness of the leaf extract kirinyuh (C. odorata L.) on the wound healing studies in vivo and in vitro for the purpose of potential use in the future as a herbal medicine in wound care. Methods : Systematic Review by searching literature that discusses the C.odorata in wound healing through PubMed and Google Scholar. Literature search was conducted using PRISMA-P 2015 method and elimination journal using the JBI Critical Appraisal Checklist. Results : there were 7 journals in good category which concluded that C.odorata contribute in the process of wound healing through various mechanisms that affect the phase of wound healing. Conclusion : Chromolaena odorata potentially effective affect the wound healing process of experimental animals both in vitro and in vivo studies.
