Abstract

Background: Sitting activities cannot be separated from daily life. Activities carried out by many people especially the elderly in various daily activities, are thought to be able to affect the balance if done for a long time each day. Objectives: This study aims to examine the relationship between sitting time and balance in elderly. Method: This research used literature review or collecting data through the internet sources that have been published in health databases, such as PUBMED, EBSCO, Science Direct, Springerlink, Google Scholar, ProQuest and various journal sites which are relevant to the title of this study. Publications or literature that have been published in the last five years are analyzed if the data meets the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: four of the five journals analyzed showed low balance scores in older people who sit for long periods Conclusion: significant relationship between elderly people who sit for long periods of time to balance in 4 from 5 journal that have been analyze.
