Abstract

Community Notes, as an information innovation on the X platform, plays a role in providing additional context for potentially misleading posts, including information related to technology and artificial intelligence (AI). This condition has driven the emergence of Community Notes as a community-based information innovation that provides additional context to help users evaluate the veracity of a post. This study aims to analyze the effect of exposure to Community Notes as an information innovation on users' perception of technology and AI information accuracy on the X platform. This study employs a quantitative method with an explanatory approach. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study show that exposure to Community Notes has a positive and significant effect on the perception of technology and AI information accuracy among X platform users. This is indicated by a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), thus rejecting H_0 and accepting H_1. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R^2) value of 0.766 indicates that exposure to Community Notes is able to explain 76.6% of the variance in the perception of information accuracy, while the remaining 23.4% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. Consequently, the higher the users' exposure to Community Notes, the higher their perception of technology and AI information accuracy on the X platform.
