Abstract

The lack of socialization of counseling services at UPN "Veteran" Jakarta has caused many students of the Faculty of Computer Science to struggle in planning their academic paths, selecting specialization courses, and determining career prospects aligned with their competencies. To address this issue, a chatbot-based counseling website was developed, integrating DeepSeek AI and a Rule Based System to automatically analyze students' academic transcript data, including credit progress evaluation, thesis eligibility status, and specialization track consistency, which are subsequently used as personal context for the AI model to generate academic and career recommendations. The system was developed using the waterfall model with data collection conducted through literature review, questionnaires, and interviews. User Acceptance Testing involving 70 respondents from FIK UPNVJ yielded an overall score of 84.10% classified as Very Good, indicating that the system is suitable for use as a chatbot-based academic and career counseling platform.
