Abstract

Post-cesarean section pain is still high (77.4%-100%), with an incidence of 17.6% in Indonesia and greater pain compared to normal delivery. Non-pharmacological treatments such as deep breathing relaxation and lavender aromatherapy are effective and safe in reduce pain. This case study aims to document the implementation of deep breathing relaxation therapy and lavender aromatherapy on Mrs. D (P2A0) post-cesarean section with pain at South Tangerang General Hospital. This case study applies a descriptive approach to the implementation of deep breathing relaxation therapy and lavender aromatherapy on Mrs. D (P2A0) with pain at South Tangerang General Hospital. Information collection on Mrs. D was carried out through interview techniques, observation, and physical examination to obtain subjective and objective data directly. After implementation of deep breathing relaxation therapy and lavender aromatherapy for 3x24 hours, there was a decrease in pain levels, marked by a decrease in the pain scale on the first day from a scale of seven to a scale of three on the third day, and questions related to his health condition decreased. The implementation of deep breathing relaxation therapy and lavender aromatherapy in post caesarea section Mrs. D showed a reduction in pain intensity after the interventions. These non-pharmacological therapies improved comfort, relaxation, and supported early postpartum recovery.
