Abstract
Background: Perineal rupture is a tear in the birth canal that commonly occurs during spontaneous delivery and may cause acute pain in postpartum mothers, thereby affecting comfort and delaying the recovery process. Objective: This study aims to provide nursing care for Mrs. A (P2A0) with spontaneous postpartum and grade II perineal rupture in the Tulip Ward of RSU Tangerang Selatan. Methods: This study used a descriptive design in the form of a case study with data collection techniques including interviews, physical examinations, observation, and documentation. Results: After providing nursing care for 3 days, the main nursing diagnosis identified was acute pain. The interventions included non-pharmacological techniques such as deep breathing relaxation and cold compresses, as well as collaboration in administering analgesics. The evaluation results showed a decrease in pain scale from 4 to 1, and the patient appeared more relaxed and comfortable. Conclusion: Nursing care focused on acute pain management showed improvement in the patient’s condition after the interventions were implemented.
