Abstract
This study analyzes the digital campaign strategy of Prabowo–Gibran on TikTok during the 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election using Laura Cervi’s politainment theory. The rise of social media, particularly TikTok, has transformed political communication from formal approaches to more entertaining and popular formats. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, collecting data through content observation of official TikTok accounts of Prabowo Subianto, Gibran Rakabuming, the Gerindra Party, volunteer and campaign team accounts, as well as interviews with relevant informants. The findings show that the Prabowo–Gibran campaign applies politainment by incorporating humor, popular music, viral trends, and engaging visuals to increase engagement and attract young voters. This strategy contributes to a more humanized and memorable political image. However, politainment also presents challenges, such as oversimplification of political issues and potential misinformation. The study concludes that politainment is an effective digital campaign strategy, provided it is balanced with political substance.
