Abstract
Executive brain function is a high-level cognitive ability vital for individuals to achieve goals and adapt to their environment. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of Conventional Executive Function (CEF) and Transcendental Executive Function (TEF) in Bandung society. This descriptive quantitative study with a cross-sectional design involved 159 respondents selected through stratified random sampling and assessed using the Psychological Assessment for Spiritual Health and Brain Function Screening (PASH BRAINS) instrument. Univariate analysis results showed that the majority of respondents fell into the categories of moderate (45.3%) and mild (37.7%) CEF impairment, whereas the TEF profile was dominated by optimal (49.1%) and functional (48.4%) categories. These findings indicate that despite the decline in conventional executive performance influenced by age and environmental factors, the transcendental aspect remains well-preserved, reflecting spiritual resilience and the strong collective cultural values of Bandung society.
