Abstract

Financial transformation through digitalization has become very important to encourage the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the digital economy era. As one of the largest banks in Indonesia, Bank Mandiri continues to innovate in digital banking services to expand access and facilitate transactions for MSMEs. The purpose of this study is to examine the methods applied by Bank Mandiri in encouraging the acceptance of digital banking among MSMEs, as well as to identify the elements that support and hinder the process. The research methodology applied includes literature review and analysis of questionnaire respondent data. The findings of this study indicate that Bank Mandiri implements various strategies, including digital education, development of digital banking applications (Livin’ by Mandiri), integration with QRIS, and collaboration with the digital ecosystem. Although there has been an increase in the level of digital banking adoption, there are several obstacles such as low levels of digital literacy and limited access to technology which are still significant challenges. This study shows that the approach used by Bank Mandiri is quite successful, but still needs improvement, especially in terms of local and sustainable education. These results can be suggestions for the banking industry, MSMEs, and the government to encourage more comprehensive digital change.
