Abstract
This research aims to see how UN Women's role through the #HeForShe program contributes to realizing gender equality in the workplace, with a particular focus on how this program is implemented in companies such as Unilever in Indonesia. A key issue underlying gender inequality in Indonesia is that women often face discrimination in terms of opportunities and treatment in the workplace. The main objective of this research is to find out how UN Women's role through the #HeForShe program in fighting gender inequality by involving men as allies in the fight. This research uses a qualitative methodology that includes literature research and in-depth interviews. In this research, liberal feminism theory is used to analyze how women can achieve equal rights and opportunities in the workplace through empowerment and support from men. In addition, international organization theory is also applied to understand the role of UN Women as an entity that serves to organize international cooperation in promoting gender equality. Based on the research results, Unilever's #HeForShe program has successfully increased men's awareness and involvement in gender equality. In addition, Unilever has implemented a number of measures that promote gender equality, including anti-harassment guidelines, equality training, and the provision of facilities such as daycare and lactation rooms to support female employees. Therefore, it is hoped that the results of this study can be used as a guide for future research and provide suggestions for more gender-responsive and inclusive policies in Indonesia.
