Abstract
This research focuses on the City Council's Political Persuasion Strategy in increasing public participation in the COVID-19 vaccination program in the North Jakarta Administrative City in 2022. The background of this research is based on the disparity between the number of first and second doses of vaccines received by the community and the number of residents in each sub-district, as well as the importance of the role of the City Council as a deliberative body that is expected to accommodate the aspirations of the community and encourage their involvement in government programs. Through a qualitative approach, this study aims to identify the strategies implemented by the City Council in the socialization of the vaccination program, as well as the obstacles faced during the implementation of the task. The author will also discuss the impact of the strategies carried out on the level of community participation in the vaccination program. By examining the role of the City Council, this study is expected to provide insight into the effectiveness of the institution in carrying out the function of supervision and communication between the government and the community, especially in the context of handling the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of this study are expected to provide recommendations for related parties to increase the effectiveness of socialization and community participation in government programs in the future.
