Abstract

Objective : Indonesia faces serious threats to child growth, especially in the First 1000 Days of Life from conception to 2 years of age, which has a major impact on children's growth, cognitive and mental health. WHO data shows that around 30.8% of children under five in Indonesia are stunted, making it second in Southeast Asia. Mothers with good nutrition knowledge are more aware of the importance of nutritional intake for their children. Inadequate food intake can reduce the availability of energy and micronutrients, which are often lacking in stunted toddlers. Regular antenatal care (ANC) visits help maintain maternal and fetal health and detect problems early. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between maternal knowledge, child nutrition intake and ANC visit compliance with the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the Pademangan Health Center working area, North Jakarta in 2024. Method : This study is a quantitative study that uses observational analytic methods with a cross-sectional design. A total of 77 mothers of toddlers participated in this study. Maternal knowledge was assessed with a questionnaire, nutritional intake was assessed with a food frequency questionnaire, and adherence to Antenatal Care visits with KIA book. Data analysis included univariate analysis with frequency distribution, and bivariate analysis with Chi-Square test. Result : There was a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and stunting (p=0.000), energy intake and stunting (p=0.000), and antenatal care visit compliance and stunting (p=0.032). Conclusion : There is a significant relationship between maternal knowledge, child nutritional intake and ANC visit compliance with the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the Pademangan Health Center working area, North Jakarta in 2024.
