Abstract

This study aims to examine Grab's efforts in addressing issues related to climate change challenges in Indonesia as an effort to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 13.1 through the EV Ecosystem Roadmap program in the 2019-2023 period. As an MNC, Grab has played its role in Indonesia by contributing to efforts to mitigate climate-related issues through initiatives they have undertaken in the EV Ecosystem Roadmap program. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach to explain the strategies Grab uses in implementing the EV Ecosystem Roadmap program in Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that Grab has succeeded in contributing to reducing the impacts of climate change based on Target 13.1 and its indicators by creating climate-related initiatives carried out through collaboration with various parties. In addition, by referring to the MNC concept put forward by Gilpin (1987), Grab has succeeded in playing its role as an MNC in disseminating technology related to low-emission vehicle systems and encouraging economic growth by providing flexible electric vehicle rental services for their partners
