Abstract
This research aims to discuss the meaning of self-confidence in SEVENTEEN's HOME;RUN music video. The method used is descriptive qualitative research using the semiosis method of Charles Sanders Peirce. The data collection techniques used by researcher are non-participant observation, document study and, also interview with relevant informant which will produce primary and secondary data sources. In addition, researcher used analysis techniques with the stages of data reduction, presentation of information, then making an assessment. The results showed that there is a depiction of the meaning and message of self-confidence in SEVENTEEN's HOME;RUN music video. The study of self-confidence includes understanding, characteristics, and also factors that can influence. The meaning of self-confidence has been seen from the nine scenes that researcher studied, which are divided into several shots. The meaning of confidence used by researchers uses Marcel Danesi's understanding, which will be linked to the components of the music video. The first component is the song, which consists of music, lyrics, and rhythm. The second component is the visual aspect, such as narration and the gestures and facial expressions potrayed.
