Abstract
Background: A nurse must work optimally, especially nurses in inpatient rooms. Working as a nurse who is required to provide excellent and quality service 24 hours a day means that a nurse must be in good physical condition. So there is a risk of experiencing musculoskeletal disorders, this is due to several factors including age, gender, workload, length of work, duration of work, and exercise habits, and education. Purpose: This study aims to examine the description of musculoskeletal disorders in nurses in the Cilandak Marine Hospital Inpatient Room. Methods: The research method used is descriptive quantitative research. The sample for this study was selected using purposive sampling as many as 89 nurses in the Cilandak Marine Hospital Inpatient Room. The instrument used is the Nordic Body Map (NBM). Results: Based on the results obtained, the majority of nurses, in terms of internal factors, were mostly in the age range from 36-45 years, amounting to 40 nurses (44.9%) and the majority were female, 83 nurses (93.3%). Meanwhile, looking at external factors, the results obtained were that the most nurses worked 1 shift > 10 patients totaling 38 nurses (90.5%), with a working period > 10 years totaling 51 nurses (89.5%), having a working duration of 1 shift > 6 hours totaling 74 nurses (89.2%), having the habit of rarely exercising (1-3 times a week) totaling 68 nurses (89.5%), and most having a final education level of D3 nursing totaling 61 nurses (87.1%). Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that the majority of nurses have low category musculoskeletal disorders, this is caused by several internal factors, namely age and gender. Meanwhile, external factors are workload, length of service, duration of work, exercise habits and education.
