Abstract

This study discusses the rhetorical analysis (ethos, pathos, logos) used by Anies Baswedan in the 2024 Presidential Candidate Debates. Based on the analysis results from Indonesia Indicator (i2) and Drone Emprit (Ismail Fahmi) during the first, third, and fifth debates, Anies consistently dominated the topics of conversation on social media with high positive sentiment and low negative sentiment. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The theory applied is Aristotle's Rhetorical Theory. The research findings show that Anies Baswedan tends to use the phrase "kami lakukan" (we did) in the application of ethos to present his achievements as Governor of Jakarta, tends to use the word "keadilan" (justice) in addressing issues of injustice and inequality for pathos, and tends to use statistical data and specific numbers, such as the number of affected people, figures related to policies or social issues, and economic indicators for logos.
