Abstract
Islamic financial institutions, especially in the banking sector, are increasingly recognized among the public. Even so, the number of Islamic bank customers is relatively small supported by Islamic financial inclusion which is still far below the conventional sector. Indonesia as a diverse country, with a majority of Muslims, is an opportunity for sharia market share. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence between Islamic financial inclusion, religiosity, and reputation on the decision to become an Islamic commercial bank customer by using interest as a mediating variable. This research method is descriptive quantitative with primary and secondary data as sources. Data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires involving 200 respondents from the Jabodetabek community. The analysis method uses SEM-PLS with the Smart-PLS tool. The results showed a significant influence of the variables of Islamic financial inclusion, religiosity, and reputation on the decision to become an Islamic commercial bank customer and on interest. Of the three variables, religiosity has a dominant effect which is reinforced by Indonesia as a religious country. The good reputation of Islamic banks and the inclusiveness of Islamic finance in the banking sector attract the interest of the Jabodetabek community in deciding to become customers of Islamic commercial banks.
