Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence between persuasive message through Instagram account @behome.id on the self-acceptance of its followers. The data sources of this research come from primary and secondary data, and the theory used in this research is the Elaboration Likelihood Model theory. This research uses an explanatory type, positivism paradigm, quantitative approach, and the method used is the survey method by applying Likert scale in the form of questionnaire through Google Form, then distributed to 399 respondents. The population in this study were followers of @behome.id Instagram account, with the sampling technique, namely the Non-Probability Sampling technique (Purposive Sampling) using Taro Yamane. The data analysis technique used in this study is inferential statistics using SPSS 25 program by conducting a validity rest, reliability test, correlation test found a value of 0,707 which means it has a very strong correlation level, the regression test result found a value of 0,442 which means that if the persuasive message variable increases by one level, the self-acceptance attitude will increase by 0,442, the result of the coefficient of determination test found a value 48,3% which means that the persuasive message variable has an influence of 48,3% on the self-acceptance attitude variable, and the result of the hypothesis test found a value of 19,274 which means that t count is greater than t table or there is an effect. The results of this study indicate that persuasive messages through Instagram have an effect on the self-acceptance attitude of the followers of @behome.id.
