Abstract
Everyone has the right to receive safe, high-quality, and affordable healthcare services, as stipulated in Law No. 17 of 2023 about health. One of the efforts made by the government is the implementation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) program. However, in its implementation, differences in procedures between general patients and JKN insurance patients have been found, to affect the quality of services potentially. This study aims to analyze the relationship between outpatient payment methods and the quality of healthcare services at Hospital X in South Jakarta. This research uses an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design involving 92 outpatient respondents. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis (chi-square test) with α = 0.05. The univariate analysis results showed that 69.6% of patients used the JKN payment system, while 30.4% used the fee-for-service system. The analysis indicated that patients provided good evaluations of service quality. Bivariate analysis showed no relationship between payment method and quality dimensions, particularly in the assurance and empathy dimensions, where all respondents provided good ratings. Other dimensions showed similar results: tangible (0.431 > 0.05), reliability (0,486 > 0.05), and responsiveness (1 > 0.05). It can be concluded that there is no relationship between outpatient payment methods and the quality of healthcare services at Hospital X in South Jakarta.
