Abstract
Exclusive breastfeeding practices by working mothers are lower in coverage (69.48%) than non-working mothers (75.92%). This study aims to determine the determinants of exclusive breastfeeding practices in working mothers in the Duren Sawit District of East Jakarta in 2024 with a cross sectional study design in May - June 2024. The study population amounted to 3,154 people with sampling using purposive sampling technique. The research sample was obtained as many as 110 respondents. Data collection used a questionnaire instrument through Google form. Univariate analysis showed the proportion of working mothers who provided exclusive breastfeeding was 75 (68.2%). Bivariate analysis using Chi-Square stated that there was a relationship between knowledge, attitude, family support, health worker support (p-value=0,001) and facilities (p-value= 0,003). Multivariate analysis showed that health worker support was the most influential factor on exclusive breastfeeding practices in working mothers (p-value= 0,004) and POR = 4.837 (95% CI: 1.657-14.116). It is known that there is a relationship between knowledge, attitudes, facilities, family and health workers support on exclusive breastfeeding practices with the most influential variable being health workers. It is necessary to have sufficient knowledge and support through communication with health workers to improve the practice of exclusive breastfeeding.
