Abstract
Burnout is felt by many nurses. Burnout can have an impact on the quality of nurses work which is related to the quality of nursing services. One of the factors influencing burnout is the leadership style of superiors. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the leadership style of the head of the room and burnout among inpatient nurses in hospitals in 2024. This research design uses a cross-sectional method with a sample collection technique, namely a total sample of 88 nurse respondents who work in hospitals research sites. This research uses a measurement method of providing questionnaires on respondent characteristics data, a leadership style questionnaire, and a burnout questionnaire. Univariate analysis uses the proportion test and bivariate analysis uses the Chi-Square test. Partial bivariate analysis of authoritarian leadership style on burnout (p-value=0,010), democratic leadership style on burnout (p-value=0,001), and laissez faire leadership style on burnout (p-value=0,134). Meanwhile, overall leadership style and burnout have a significant relationship (p-value =0,001; CI 95%). This research is expected to provide an overview regarding the extent to which the head of the room's leadership style on a nurse's burnout can influence the psychological quality of nurses. Leadership style will have an impact on burnout so it is hoped that the head of the room's leadership attitude will be able to provide a good role model and be able to carry out management well.
