Abstract
This study aims to find out South Korea's cultural diplomacy using films at the Korea-Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) by using the theory of cultural diplomacy and the concept of Korean Wave. The method used is qualitative descriptive using secondary data sources. The data collection technique in this study uses Internet-Based Research through related journals. The author uses three data analysis techniques with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion extraction and verification. The final results of this study show that South Korean cultural diplomacy through the Korea-Indonesia Film Festival is carried out with a festival that screens several selected films from South Korea so that the spread of culture is carried out through film media. This festival has been successfully carried out based on the indicators of cultural diplomacy presented by Mark, namely actors and government involvement, at Korea-Indonesia Film Festival 2023 has involved the governments of South Korea and Indonesia. The purpose of holding this film festival is to introduce and promote South Korean culture through film to the Indonesian people. The activity, Korea-Indonesia Film Festival was held with the screening of a number of films from South Korea and Indonesia. The audience of Korea-Indonesia Film Festival was held in Indonesian cinemas through CGV Cinemas.
