Abstract

This study analyzes how PT Tempo Inti Media Tbk., as a print media company, remains relevant in the midst of the new media era and technological changes. The transformation from conventional media to digital media has changed the way information is delivered, with more access through digital platforms. Media must quickly adapt to new trends and technologies while maintaining quality and reliability. The objectives of this study are to describe the convergence process of Koran Tempo, Tempo's perspective on digitalization from a communication aspect, and Tempo's business condition. Using media convergence theory and the concept of disruption, this research employs an interpretivist paradigm and a qualitative approach, with case studies and interviews as data collection methods. The results show that journalists at Tempo face challenges that require high levels of spirit, perseverance, and dedication. Media convergence and digital disruption influence the dynamics of the journalism industry, with content innovation and distribution adaptation as responses to changes. Journalists must maintain independence, integrity, and high journalistic ethics in the face of pressure and criticism, and contribute to improving public media literacy. The study concludes that Tempo's convergence process occurs through the use of physical notes and digital technology, the adjustment of writing styles with technological changes, and the adoption of innovations in content and business strategies. Tempo demonstrates a commitment to remain a leading force in the Indonesian media industry by providing accurate, credible, and responsible news.
