Abstract

The world has experienced various events, including natural disasters, the Coronavirus Disease-19 outbreak, and economic and political conditions in recent years. These conditions, of course, have impacted the provision of financing by banks, either directly or indirectly. Providing substantial financing without considering internal and external conditions can lead to non-performing financing (NPF). This study aims to determine the impact of NPF on the distribution of financing at PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. (BSI). The methodology used is descriptive quantitative, with comparative analysis techniques and time series index analysis using the NPF-gross ratio. The results of the analysis show that NPF-gross correlates with the distribution of financing at PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. Based on the contract, with a decreasing NPF ratio, murabahah and musyarakah contracts constitute the largest financing distribution at PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. The NPF at PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. is considered healthy because BSI's NPF is below the maximum limit stipulated by Bank Indonesia, which is 5%. Efforts that can be made by PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. to reduce non-performing financing include restructuring, rescheduling, reconditioning, and selling assets or auctioning customer financing guarantees.
