Abstract
The implementation of supervision not only aims to supervise the performance of nurses performing nursing care but also to improve the nursing management process including in carrying out nursing care documentation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of supervision on nurses' performance in documenting nursing care in the Hemodialysis Room at Tarakan Hospital. The research design used quasi-experimental with a one-group pre-posttest design approach and used paired t-test. The research instrument used a nurse performance questionnaire to document nursing care and an observation sheet for the implementation of nursing care documentation supervision. Sampling using a Total Sampling of as many as 13 nurses in the hemodialysis room at Tarakan Hospital. There was an increase in the percentage of nurses' performance in conducting nursing care documentation from before supervision 53.8% to 100% after supervision. The results of bivariate analysis using the t-test showed a p-value = 0.001 (<0.05). The result obtained is that there is a significant difference between the performance of nurses in documenting nursing care before supervision and after supervision. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of supervision on the performance of nurses in documenting nursing care.
