Abstract

Background: Chronic respiratory symptoms known as bronchial asthma are inflammation and narrowing of the airways, leading to shortness of breath and difficulty breathing. Symptoms of asthma can also include shortness of breath appearing episodically and chronically and usually occurring at night until morning, at certain periods or due to the influence of triggering factors. Method:This paper was written with a case study research design. The Medical Surgical Nursing Care which focuses on Bronchial Asthma cases is located in the Flamboyan Room, RSU South Tangerang. The methods used in the Nursing Care system consist of Assessment, Diagnosis,Intervention,Implementation and Evaluation of Nursing Care. Results: The nursing problems that the author addresses in this case are Ineffective airway clearance related to secretions retained in the airway, Sleep pattern disturbances related to environmental obstacles, Intolerance activities related to the imbalance between oxygen supply and demand. Conclusion: After nursing intervention was carried out for 3 x 24 hours, the results of the assessment showed that all nursing diagnoses were resolved in accordance with the predetermined outcome criteria.
