Abstract
Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic or chronic disease in the form of a metabolic disorder characterized by an increase in blood glucose levels above normal (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2020). This disease is a metabolic disease characterized by chronic hyperglycemia which occurs due to damage or deficiency in insulin secretion, damage to the response to the insulin hormone or both (International Diabetes Federation, 2021). The research was conducted to determine the effect of applying diabetic foot exercises on the problem of unstable blood glucose levels caused by Type II Diabetes Mellitus through comprehensive treatment. Method: This research is a case study design type of medical-surgical nursing care to see how nurses handle Mrs. A those experiencing unstable blood glucose levels in the Pasar Rebo Regional Hospital area, East Jakarta City from February 21 to February 24 2024. Data collection was carried out by means of interviews, observation and physical examination. Results: The main nursing diagnosis for Mrs. A is a disorder that causes instability in blood glucose levels related to insulin resistance, characterized by headaches, fatigue, thirst and hunger, and frequent urination at night. The nursing intervention carried out was carrying out diabetes foot exercises. Nursing evaluation is accomplished with the objectives and outcome criteria applied. Conclusion: The implementation of the orphanage on Mrs. A the problem of unstable blood glucose levels can be resolved and achieve the expected results and patients can intervene independently, because there is good collaboration between nurses and patients
