Abstract

Each boarding house owner practices different management methods. This often results in complaints from tenants such as broken cooling devices, leaks in the bathroom, and other problems. Sometimes, boarding house owners also have difficulty collecting rental fees from tenants and managing check-in and check-out. To manage a dormitory effectively, a system is needed that can monitor all activities that occur in the operation of the boarding house. The purpose of this research is to help boarding house owners make orders, make payments, and make it easier to archive personal data documents for boarding house tenants. Researchers chose to use the RAD (Rapid Application Development) method because the RAD method helps create information systems that are of higher quality, relevant to business needs, and easier to manage throughout their life cycle. With the information system management system designed in this research, it is hoped that the management of boarding houses at the Unity Boarding House can become more efficient and organized. This system will facilitate the process of managing room data, transaction data, tenant information data and tenant complaint data. Apart from that, this research can also contribute to the development of information systems and information systems for the boarding house industry.
